Rail Route Vs Road Route

A journey via rail or road is not just about keeping/shifting your back(s) in a comfortable/manageable position and to kill your time, waiting to reach the destination. I know the same is definitely worth getting pissed, when you are talking about an air trip.

The last two weekends, i got to enjoy back to back trips via road and rail, and had a chance to observe something that gives you a lot of charm to your naked eyes. :-)

The Rail Route :

"Chalo Chayya Chayya Chayya Chayya, Chalo Chayya Chayya Chayya Chayya". Yes. Absolutely, this is the song that is reminded when we stand near the door of an Indian train running at speed of more than 100 kmph. Commuters in the air conditioned coaches usually do not enjoy the view that the others experience.

India is easily a very very big country with so many varieties of landscapes. Everybody gets to realize this fact when they come across something like what we see in the picture below. You can actually find the meaning of the word peace here. Fresh oxygen, fresh breeze and no disturbance to the ears. :-)

This one is easily my favourite of the lot. Imagine if you own a house somewhere in the middle of the field. Just wake up from your bed and this is what the window has to treat you.

People living in the metros need to know that nature exists. It is mandatory to take a break once or twice every year to spend time in places like these.

Windmills are also catchy objects which can draw your attention when travelling.

The Road Route :

Many people have told me that the Chennai-Bangalore Highway is one of the best national highways in India. I realized the same when i witnessed it.

Couldn't cover the entire highway, but got a chance to travel upto around 60% of the total distance. What makes this highway so special, in comparison with the others is, the fact that we have a complete contrast of very big industries as well as agricultural fields. I found it so nice and congestion free that my concentration was more at clicking them through my eyes, rather than doing it with the help of a camera.

Observing sunset on a vacation like this gives you a great sense of sophistication. :-)

We get to take a look at one of the top companies of the world, having their factories/facilities in this highway. Sriperumbudur is certainly fit enough to become an upcoming Satellite City, and this highway definitely has ample infrastructure faciliteis to make sure that it becomes a reality.

Perfect ecological balance. :-)

What is it that is so great in a coffee mug?

Well, this surely is a topic that is to be discussed, debated, interrogated, investigated.

Not just a matter of creating a little bit of a 'hype' for this little thing which seems to appear nice, but just that, you know? the importance, I think, needs to be felt.

Its nice to have your share of coffee/tea with a porcelain mug than with any other vessel because it makes you feel
  • a little sophisticated
  • comfortable to hold
  • good again because the excessive heat involved in the drink is not transferred to our fingers

Sometimes I think if there was this extremely adorable, popular relationship that a newspaper and a coffee mug share.

Why not? Yes. There should be something of that sort existing. Just like what we call a normal relationship that human beings share, one of them always is there for the other. If your drink is boring, then the taste involved in your news might help you sip your drink at a rate in which the news is making sense. And, of course, even information that is bound to give you a negative vibe might give you a positive interpretation if your drink tastes good.

Okay, now I understand why the advertisements/endorsements of popular beverages are filmed in a way that just brings a smile. :-)

Handling of these coffee mugs is a serious issue that is to be considered and taken care of. After all, your precious morning mood cannot go for a walk when your favorite mug becomes pieces of porcelain.

Thanks to my coffee mug. Made me show the world on how much jobless I can be. And also, more importantly, popularize my coffee mug. :-)

The Secret Hakka Egg Noodles that failed !

Location : Home
Time : 2:00 AM

I have heard somewhere that men make better cooks. Well i think it is because of the fact that they are resilient. They learn from their mistakes, and more importantly, never repeat them. At least this is applicable for those who have contributed for the statement that is italicized above. And, you realize things like these punchlines only when you make a mistake of your own.

These were the cooking instructions mentioned:
Boil 10 cups of water in a large pan, let the water bubble. Drop the noodles and boil them for only 2 minutes. The noodles are cooked aldent. (Aldent: means partially cooking the noodles or leaving it slightly "Kachcha"). Drain the noodles and spread on a flat surface and toss in 1 tea-spoon of oil on the noodles to prevent sticking and proceed with your chosen dish.

Well, all i did was to follow the same instructions to end up experiencing disaster.

Tragic night isn't it?

No no. You guessed it wrong. I did not eat them. If it had happened so, just for a safety precaution, i might have clicked myself and would have added it right here.

Lesson learnt :
Never trust the statement boil them for only two minutes which they highlight the most. I have taken an oath not to
  • Read the instructions anymore
  • Never repeat the procedure that i followed this time

Resources Utilized :
  • My time
  • Rs 25 - for this packet of noodles
  • Ample amount of water
  • Cooking gas
  • 4 hits from the cooking gas lighter
  • 1 to 2 tea-spoons of oil
  • 2 tea spoons of salt
  • 1 tea spoon of masala
